I have been on Depo Provera for 7 Years and have not had a menstrual cycle in 6years and 10months , I know that the shot creates a mucus lining and and prevents pregnancy for 3 months. I do not want to get pregnant but because of all of the side effects I am having with the Depo I am Deciding to discontinue my use. My last shot was supposed to be on Dec 12th , My question is how soon would an accidental pregnancy happen? We are not using condoms as I have not had a menstrual cycle in 6 years 10 months. Is it possible for me to get pregnant before having my first cycle after being off of depo? any advice will be great!
