megan,risks of tubal ligation are the same as any surgery e.g.; bleeding, injury to other internal organ like bladder or bowel, and infection. Obviously, before the operation will be made, your practitioner or doctor will first do an initial check-up, and they'll know the medicines needed for your recovery that will not left you any side-effects if possible. |

The procedure itself is reasonably safe, but it is still surgery. Complications may occur. The complications occurs later. As I have noticed from my co-mothers having that birth-control method, there common problem is the disturbance of irregularities in their menstruation |
