As you know, no form on contraception is 100%. The best thing you can do at the moment is stay away from other hormonal contraceptions as you don't want to override your system with estrogen or other hormones as it could do damage.
If you are concerned about the effectiveness of the pill use condoms in addition to it, if both are used properly then the concept of you getting pregnant are slim to 0.
Oh and, just to recommend, i have been on the implanon for 3 years now, and it has been the most fantastic contraception i have ever used. Pregnancy risks are extremely low, plus within the first 3 weeks my periods stopped completely. I also has no side effects. it was just a relief to not worry about 'the time of the month', pains or cramps.
Hope Ive helped .
