I have had the Merina for 5 years and its the best thing i had done.
I had bleeding for 2 days then i have had no periods or side effects for 5 years. Sounds like i'm one of the lucky ones.

Hi,

I was on this coil for two years. It was really good apart from I used to get this really bad leg pain, after two years of putting up with it, I finally had an ultrasound, which showed its had moved up slightly. Having said that it never really explained the leg pain, but I think it was resting on a nerve. I eventually took it out to be on the safe side. I had no other side effects and found it the best form of contraceptive i had ever had.
