Hi. I was diagnosed back in 2005 after my husband and i had been trying to start a family for a couple of years. It came as a massive shock and really though that we would never have children. My periods have never been regular but they had become practically non existant. my g.p. helped so much, sorting me out with a fantastic gynaecologist. he prescribed 'clomid '. the first cycle did not work and i was extremely upset. he increased the dosage for the next cycle and became pregnant!! i had regular hospital checks to make sure that everything was ok, as unfortunatly 'clomid ' can cause miscarriages. however, i was fortunate to have a gorgeous little girl on 20th December, 2006. I am about to start treatment again for a second child although the consultant has warned that it may not work again. this will not dampen our spirits though...and you shouldnt either!! i am 28 now so i know exactly what you are going through. dont be too upset, try and stay positive-it will help you. all the best, i hope you become a mammy in the not too distant future. Maria. xx
