has anyone experienced hair loss? i just want to know if this is possible during menopause.

ginger - September 7th, 2009 1:49 PM

as far as i know, men are likely than women to have hair loss as they age. but mostly, it's genetic.

trixie - September 7th, 2009 6:39 PM

this is normal during menopause. 1/4 of the population of women experience hair loss during menopause. Discuss this with your physician and see what she/he recommends.

hair loss is common among women due to low thyroid function. did you start to take medications for your menopause? because, various medication can also cause hair loss.

irene - September 11th, 2009 11:56 AM

i am not taking any medications for my menopause symptoms since everything is still in control. what bothers me a lot is my hair loss... does anyone here have similar experience?

try coconut oil. you can mix it with lime water or lime juice. this prevents hair loss.

prepare a home made shampoo by adding 5 tbsp of curd, 1 tbsp of lemon juice and 2 tbsp of gram raw (chholia) powder. apply it on the head for an hour and then wash

hormonal problems may cause hair loss. i believe that correcting the hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss.

so far, aloe vera is the most effective treatment for hair loss. this will not only treat hair loss but this can actually help grow your hair thicker.

gello - September 17th, 2009 7:33 PM

i get this problem for so long but found solution in home remedies. problem now is-- i want my hair to grow fast and thick? any answer?

maxie - September 17th, 2009 10:29 PM

no matter what you do, your hair is only going to grow about 1/2 inch per month, at most. time will let it grow.

i have a niece who used to have extremely fine hair that everybody would noticed at first glance. needless to say, she found it very embarrassing. one time she discovered a simple home remedy which make her and me quite hard to believe at first... a massage of Castor oil thrice a week! works wonder and improves thin hair. give it a shot!

irene - September 24th, 2009 8:44 PM

castor oil? wow, pretty amazing! i think i should try this. thanks for the information!

gellO - September 25th, 2009 3:38 PM

hi tinky! i just want to know if how long your niece been using castor oil before it takes effect? been using it for a week now after i have read your post but nothing's changed.

vida - September 30th, 2009 12:43 AM

a combination of Castor Oil and coconut will also help thicken hair. it also gives shinny and healthy looking hair.

gellO - October 2nd, 2009 6:03 PM

coconut juice, cream or oil? please tell me how to use it. there must be something wrong with my application.

irene - October 6th, 2009 1:48 PM

i'm so curious about this castor oil. how do we apply this on hair? do we need to wet our hair before applying it.
