is this the first time you had this experienced? have you sorted out the problem? irritated eyes can be related to manopause but i can't be very sure if this is what happened to you.

there are a lot of causes for this. give it a few days, and if this thing still happens to you, then you should consult your doctor.

dry or irritated eyes are usually connected to menopause.but these are the least likely symptoms of early menopause.

i think the most common reason for dryness is aging. as we grow old our eyes tends to dry because our bodies produce less oil which may affect our tear film.

aging and menopause are the most common reason for this. but if blurry vision and headache is most likely a reason for eye problem.

irritated eyes can have many causes depending on the symptoms.
it is best to have it checked.
self treatment can be very dangerous and may even lead
to serious problem.

when the eye isn't getting enough lubrication it will cause problems like pain, itching, redness, irritation and blurry vision. eyedrops are the most common
treatment for this. an oral medication is considered if eyedrops fails to work.

HI, I'VE BEEN SUFFERING FROM DRY EYES WHICH LATER ON LEAD TO IRRITATION. I WONDER IF THIS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY HABIT OF USING COMPUTER EVERYDAY. ON THE OTHER HAND, I ALSO WONDER IF THIS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH MEDICATIONS. I'M TAKING ANTI-DEPRESSANT FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW.

noreen - December 15th, 2009 11:15 AM

it can be both. anti-depressants can contribute to increased dry eye symptoms. prolonged use of computer will cause eye strain which makes the eye dry.

i have had experienced dry eyes long before i had menopause. thinking it was just normal i treated it with normal eyedrops. but then my eyes got irritated
and i ended up in the hospital. to cut the story short, treatment should address the cause of the dry eye rather than simply treating the symptoms

with some eyedrops.
