it can be both. anti-depressants can contribute to increased dry eye symptoms. prolonged use of computer will cause eye strain which makes the eye dry.

i have had experienced dry eyes long before i had menopause. thinking it was just normal i treated it with normal eyedrops. but then my eyes got irritated
and i ended up in the hospital. to cut the story short, treatment should address the cause of the dry eye rather than simply treating the symptoms

with some eyedrops.
