avoid feminine sprays, scented toilet papers, and deodorant tampons. avoid using soap to wash the area. if you do so, avoid scented and use mild soaps.

The discharge and itch could also be caused by the presence of too much bacteria in the vaginal area. Many women going through menopause experience this. It could be bacteria vaginosis. Your doctor can test for it and prescribe a treatment.
