hi i'm in menopause, period stopped for nearly 3 years. i'm having a painful and sore vagina and i don't know why. it started 3 days ago. i don't think this is a menopause symptoms and so i'm very much worried.

i haven't had period for almost 7 years and haven't experienced something like yours. the only thing i've noticed is that my vagina is so dry which is i guess normal.

don't you think it could be an infection or something? sometimes if the vagina is very dry, it tends to be itchy which causes to get sore vagina.

I would consider consulting your doctor. It could be an infection or something more serious. Have you experienced any discharge or itching? Bacterial vaginosis could cause those symptoms. Maybe it would be a good idea to have your doctor test for BV.

It might happen due to infection or may be due to the long interval
