Miscarried 6 months ago - Still depressed - Need Help

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in June 2009. I went to my first scan and it was dead on the screen, it dies at 9 weeks.

Obviously it was six months ago, but every day since I've always thought about it.

It was my due date yesterday and I am just inconsolable.

I can't stop crying, I don't want to leave the house, when I have to leave the house for work I cry while I'm driving.

I'm so miserable all the time, but I really don't want to be.

Any advice or tips are much appreciated.

hello... i'm sorry to hear that.have tried counseling?it was really helpful for me.although it works slowly but i was able to do the things that i usually do like working despite the feeling of being depressed.

I can say it is not easy to recover. I've witnessed it with my daughter and it made me realized that being a mother takes a lot of challenges.

exactly, from the time that the mother conceives then the responsibility starts and it continues.

Yes, counseling will give help but it will depend on the person too. It is normal that grieving will take longer. Some would even take a year or more.

I am still depress now. It's been 4 months and I am still grieving for my baby. I'm longing to hold my baby in my arms.

Sometimes we really have to let time take its healing process. Sorry for your loss too saturn.

It does take a long time. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago 2moro, again at 12 weeks. I was 16, and it was a huge shock. Im still not fully over it, but you have to learn to get along with life. Iknow it seems easy to say, but all you need is time. The loss will never go away, but time will heal.

Try to think ahead, i had my second miscarriage 3 months ago, at 17 weeks. I havnt been told i will never have another baby so im taking it as i will one day! keep busy and think positive x

I am so sorry for your loss, I know exactly how you feel. I went for my scan on 3rd Dec 2009 and should have been 13 weeks but the baby had died at 9 weeks and 2 days. its now been nearly 11 weeks and I struggle to get through every day. Some days I hate my husband as he seems to have moved on so easily and im still suffering with my loss. People say it will get easier but at the moment I dont see it ever getting easier. Take one day at a time, thats all youc an do. x

hope you are ok. miscarried twice but we wont give up. just found out i am pregnant again! have been offered a cervical stitch this time, not sure if it will work but its worth a go. dont give up, it does get easier x x x

thank you for your kind words of hope, it helps to know people who have been through it and come out the other side. I really hope that everything goes well for you and you have a healthy pregnancy.
