I don't have any experience yet but so far I have read and heard some mothers going through this situation due to high blood pressure or weak cervix.Staying in bed would help the cervix relax and provide better blood flow to the placenta. |

Well having a bed rest can give the mother more time to relax. For cases when the pregnancy is at risk due to low lying placenta and would really need to have a bed rest. |

My aunt is advised to have bedrest and it sure help a lot to save the baby. She has low amniotic fluid at 23 weeks gestation and it is the only thing that help her to deliver a healthy baby. |

This procedure is quite simple but difficult to do.You just can imagine how tiresome it would be to be just lying all day. |

WHEN BEING ADVISED FOR A BED REST WHILE PREGNANT, IT SHOULD BE SPECIFIED ON THE KIND OF BED REST. THERE ARE LIKE THREE TYPES OF BED REST, THE MODIFIED, STRICT AND COMPLETE BED REST. |

MODIFIED - CERTAIN HOURS ARE BEING SET FOR RESTING OR TO BE IN BED, CAN ALSO WORK BUT SHOULD BE SITTING DOWN AND REST ON THE DESK. |

Well at least she is not being hospitalized during the pregnancy. I think that is the most difficult part to handle. |

Now that I stopped from working in order to focus on my future pregnancy I think I will be experiencing the benefits of bed rest. I am just not sure yet of the type that I will be advised with. |

My uterus is weak in handling the growing baby so I need to be extra careful and the only solution to help keep the baby is through bed rest. |
