if the bumps are visible..you can go to a general doc to have it looked at..they should be able to tell you if you have hpv warts..

if you do have it usually they can be suppressed by the body from 6mnth to 2yrs..or the doc can help you w/ medication or procedure..I'm hoping that when i go back in march that my hpv test comes back negative...

DO u mean the body can fight the virus and u wont have it anymore in ur body ?

roses711 - November 10th, 2009 9:12 PM

the body can fight the virus and suppress it where it's not able to be transmitted to anyone else (always will have it BUT undetectable)..

HSV2 is Herpes Simplex Virus, Type 2...totally different than HPV.

Natsu - November 21st, 2009 1:03 AM

nn2009..erza's right...they are different things..I don't know info on herpes...you said the doc said it didn't "look" like a STD..you should probably get an actual STD test...looks can't always tell the whole story

Can HPV looks like flat tiny white spot on upper lip (mouth) ?

Thank you.

Genital herpes, most often caused by the second type of herpes virus (HSV-2), is less common, but plenty of people still have it. Roughly one in five American adults has genital herpes. But up to 90% of those who have it don't know they are infected. You could be one of them.
