I was just tested positive for chlamydia. My ex swears up that he did not had any intercourse with any other person. I had not had sex in two years before I met him and have not had sex with any other person but him while we were still on. Could it be that I had it even before I met him?

When was the last time you were tested for STDs before you tested positive? A few doctors test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea during a routine pap.

it kills your reproductive system without a sign. you can have it your whole life without symptoms. it's called the silent STD for a reason.

Lelouch is right. You could have had it and not realized it. It can occur silently before a woman ever recognizes a problem.

All that being said, Chlamydia is known as a "silent" infection as up to 50% or more men and 75% of women with the infection have no symptoms or the symptoms are so mild that they don't cause concern for the patient.
