I had unprotected sex and I have HSV 2 - October 1st, 2009 9:58 AM

I had unprotected sex last night with my partner that I believe gave it to me, but he have never been tested nor had a breakout. Is it a possibility that he may have a breakout now?

If he didn't give it to me, could he have a breakout from having unprotected sex with me last night without me having a visible/unknown breakout? Basically, could I have transmitted HSV 2 to him through bodily fluids? or do I have to be in breakout. Yes I take my meds, but when I forget I double up.

Think of the millions, billions probably, of times people have oral sex per year. Think about the fact that almost everyone has had at least one strain of HPV. Now think about how many people you've seen with warts on their mouths... None, right?

If he doesn't have herpes, you could indeed give it to him.

if vance is right then that could cause him to have an outbreak--or maybe not. Most people are either completely asymptomatic or have such subtle symptoms they're not recognized as outbreaks.

Have you done ANY reading on herpes? Have you read ANY of the responses you've gotten to your posts? We all want to help, but we (or at least I) won't do all your work for you.
