Hi, I had sex unprotected a while ago and about 4 red blotches appeared around the genitles with slight white ring around them about 30 hours later. They did not hurt or burn anything and faded after a couple weeks leaving a slightly dry patch of skin. It burned slightly when i went pee; however, that went away in after a couple of days. I had an STD test about 2 months after the fact and it came back clean. Could it have been just a bacteria or fungal infection? Should I be concerned?

When you say you had std testing done - did you wait 3-4 months to get a herpes blood test done or did you just have the regular ole "hey doc I wanted tested for std's", asked no questions and then 3 days later got a call back that everything was fine?

PS the dry skin went away after a couple weeks

i had a herpes blood test, it was roughly 2-3 months after the fact. It came back clean, i dont think it would be herpes because ive had cold soars before and i know the feeling of it. I had those since i was a kid. Anyway i remember it said on the test sheet testing for herpes.

its probably nothing. Its unfortunate that you didn't see a doctor when you had the full symptoms, though.

If it returns, see your doctor.
