hello! i went to my doctor last week for a check up. i've been suffering from vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse, it is kinda weird! i have been married for 3 yrs, and we are trying to conceive. i was diagnosed with a cervical polyp, the doctor told me this should be removed. will this affect my fertility?

i don't know if it links to infertility but i know for sure that it needs to be removed most especially if you want to conceive. most polyps grow large enough to block the entrance to the cervix and may somehow interfere with the production of cervical mucus.

-yes it can lead to infertility but is easily restored by having it removed. if the polyps remain during pregnancy it causes bleeding which is very stressful for the moms-to-be.

cervical polyps may tend to grow back once removed and may occur in other parts of the cervix. it is important to keep a schedule for a regular check-up.

polyps can grow large enough if you don't have it removed. this will eventually block the entrance to the cervix and may interfere the production of cervical mucus which makes fertility impossible.
