menopause at 37?

At 37, my periods are erratic, I am forgetful, no amount of exercise shifts my tummy, emotional, anxious, grumpy, and i think the odd hot flush thrown in! any advice? should i see my GP? don't like going to see the doctor but symptoms upsetting!!

hI just joined today. been perimenopausal since 6 months but periods were erratic since late thirties. Am 44 now. def confim with gp as its best to know...

It is rare but you can start pre-menopause in your 30's. If you are still menstruating, and have become irregular and having flashes, I suggest you see your OBGYN and have a blood test that shows your Estrogen level, then they can either rule it out or diagnose you. Many times they will place you on Estrogen of some sort to stop the symptoms. Get seen soon and good luck.

hi simonanderson, tks, have been to gp. Apparently its genetic. my mym had a menopause in her 30ish, gp confirmed that es levels low.
