Re Hot Flushes

Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I was told by my GP he thinks I have started going through he menopause as I have started getting hot flushes, and my periods have become irregular (this was after taking Tranxamic acid).
I am 47, and it is a possibility, but on average, per day how many hot flushes are deemed as normal? I have a book which says about 4 - 5 per day. I am getting far more than this and it is mainly my face. My skin feels so tight on my face and is so uncomfortable
Any help is great, thanks

Hi,
I am also new. I started get hot flashes at your age. I am now 50 and can go for a few weeks without any flashes any and then they come back, sometimes up to five day. I get many more at night. It is so unpredictable. For me, my back feels like it is on fire. I think everyone experiences menopause in a slightly different way.

Try herbs such as chasteberry, sage leaf, maca, black cohosh. I use them personally and have also recommended these to help manage menopause symptoms. Also try to eliminate sugar and caffeine from your diet. Eat loads of fresh produce and try to incorporate regular exercise. This doesn't have to be strenuous. Do activities that you enjoy-walking, swimming etc so it doesn't feel like a chore.
