Abortion?

I'm just wondering, is Abortion a way of pregnancy loss too? Can anyone enlighten me with this? Thank you.

Actually an abortion whether threatened or not is a pregnancy loss. I understand that you got this question because you were thinking of the intentional abortion, an act that was done to get rid of the baby that should have been a successful pregnancy.

Abortion is when the fetus is expelled from the uterus and its laymen term is miscarriage. It is still a pregnancy loss. Hope this enlightens you.

Now I see, I'm just a little uncomfortable with the term abortion. Now I've known its real meaning and thanks for the information Haylee and Marnie.

Anytime Naomi, I understand your point because abortion is known for its negative meaning (intentional abortion).

when i had miscarriage, i was shocked to see my medical record because i saw the word abortion. i confronted my doctor but he told me that it is the term used for the loss of a baby whether it is intentional or unintentional. so yes, they're pretty much the same.
