Incomplete Abortion

As I've understood it, incomplete abortion is when after the miscarriage there are still some tissue remains inside the uterus. Why does this happened?

I think this happens when there is only bleeding and no proper indication that it is a miscarriage already. D&C will be a solution to this to avoid complications.

Incomplete abortion is very common in advanced pregnancy. Meaning if the pregnancy reached 8 weeks or more from the conception so the baby has grown in length and maybe difficult to expel and totally pass the cervix on its own.
