Proper education

I would suggest a proper education about handling miscarriage, stillbirths, and other forms of pregnancy losses before getting pregnant. I feel that it would greatly prepare the mother for whatever situation she may encounter with regards to losing a baby.

I certainly agree with you hondeydee. Better information and knowledge about pregnancy loss would greatly help a mother to cope with it faster and avoid depression.

That is why I am very much interested with how to handle this situation in order for me to over the fear of not having a baby due to pregnancy loss.

This should be part of the process but there are those mothers who can't have time to do such preparation. Although reading through some articles and forums like this might help them have some ideas.

i firmly agree with this. it pays to have the knowledge and being prepared. it is not only to avoid miscarriage but also to prepare us from being depressed and slow recovery in cases that loss can't be avoided.

Even if there is no proper or formal education a mother's instinct will tell what are the things to avoid during pregnancy. Maybe it would just be a matter of being responsible and careful.

you have a point crowdedroom but i guess the main target of this thread is preparing the mother to face whatever her situation be when pregnant. ignorance sometimes makes the situation worse.

I see. Sorry for the post.

Proper education can also help in being mature in accepting the loss and understanding what happened. It will also help in preparing for another pregnancy.

IF A WOMAN IS READY AND IS MATURE ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THEN SHE CAN SLOWLY ASK OR READ SOME BOOKS ABOUT BEING PREGNANT AND WHAT ARE THE RISKS TO BE PREPARED WITH.

silverhair - December 17

What ways can you suggest that young mothers can do in order to have proper education about this matter?

VANESSA - December 17

JUST LIKE WHAT I MENTIONED, SHE CAN READ BOOKS RELATED TO THE TOPIC AND THEY ALSO WATCH OR LISTEN TO TALKS ABOUT IT.

JaneGirl - December 18

This should also be needed to people (Female or male) so as to avoid wrong actions towards the person experiencing loss.

kAtRiNa - December 18

That's right Jane. Also we should not act like an expert or a doctor in giving some advice about medications or something. So we likewise should be educated about that.

JaneGirl - December 18

That could be risky too Katrina because it could put to harm the life of the mother and the baby as well.

Honeydee - December 18

Katrina- that is one thing that can be helped with proper education for mothers too. If there are some information provided by non expert and if the mother is ignorant from what is right, she may follow such advice and risk the baby.

this is very much encouraged to first time mothers. it is just like being at your first day at work, when you are trained for the things to do and expect.
