Stillbirth is a form of miscarriage wherein a fetus died inside the uterus. How do you understand this instance? Have you experienced such pregnancy loss? how did it go?

As I've understood stillbirth usually happens during the full-term of the pregnancy.I think this is the most difficult kind of miscarriage because it is almost ready to be born but loss it instead.I personally can't handle the situation.I can't imagine how would I react to such experience.

I absolutely agree that this hurts the most. After nine months of waiting, then you have to face the truth that you can't be with the baby. My experience was really a tough one.

I can just imagine how hard it is for the parents to accept. The fact that the baby is ready to see the world but died, it is something that no parent can absorb easily. I admire those that are strong enough to handle the experience.

In addition to my post, how can this situation be detected? Is it something that can be avoided? What are its possible causes?

I've had a stillbirth and it is definitely hard to accept it. I was kind of in denial at first that this is happening. If I were more considerate then I would really know that the baby was not moving anymore and should have rushed to the doctor even if it was not yet my scheduled check up. I guess that is the only symptom that I had. I don't think it can be avoided is the problem has something to do with the baby's growth or some complications with it.
