Hiv from Contraceptive implant

Im worried about HIV from a dirty needle from the contraceptive implant. When the doctor uses anaesthetic to numb the arm, does it go anywhere near your blood stream?
Is there anyway I can possibly catch HIV from having the implant?

Dr's do not reuse needles. So the needle that was used would not be dirty.

Yeah your right. But I guess its impossible anyway, if the injection does not go into your blood stream?

I just got a picture in my head that a dirty needle could be used, as I have heard storys. Makes me wonder

Don't think any further then the needle can not be dirty.

Do you know what can happen if a dirty needle is used? Dr loses his/her medical license, get sued for millions, goes to jail. Do you think any Dr would want to risk that?

no dirty needle could be used so not worth thinking anything further then that.

Many of the needles they use are designed so they can't be used again - they have needles that retract into a safety cover, and they can't be un-retracted. (Is un-retracted a word? lol)
