Undetected STD

Can Gonorrhea be present in the uterus and/or fallopian tubes of a woman but she test negative by the swab test or urine test? I know that gonorrhea can cause PID and my wife has some symptoms of PID but she has tested negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia by the swab test. How possible is it that she has these but they're "hiding" further up in the uterus?
Thanks

No, a urine or swab test would pick up gonorrhea and/or chlymida. They do not hide they would be detected.

Symptoms is never a good way to diagnosis things like PID only an exam would be able to do that.

Ok, thanks. Can a woman get PID several years after exposure to gonorrhea or chlamydia even if the infection was cleared up years ago?

No
