Hello,I am new to the forum but just wanted to talk t someone.
I am 53 and have just been told I have fibroids. None of them are large but I have quite a few.
I am having a lot of bleeding inbetween my periods and some months I am bleeding for 19 days.
I also have quite a bit of pain. As I am nearing the menopause I have a feeling that my doctor is going to say wait and see if the fibroids go of their own accord , I would rather not wait and see but how does one tell a doctor this ?
Is there anyone who has gone through something similar ?
Any advice gratefully appreciated
Katie

although fibroids are noncancerous and may tend to disappear after menopause, you should not ignore them, you could not just wait until after menopause. consult your doctor right away.

i'm not so sure but i know fibroids are harmless. although some are painful but it is easily treated and most of the time it tends to shrink on it's own.
